Coleman Marine Waterproof Pouches are perfect for outdoor activities, especially with the kind we like: mud & rain.

One of the best things about this product is it comes in 3 sizes in just 1 package. In our “search” for waterproof pouches we have seen unknown (to us, at least) brands that are more expensive than how much Coleman sells this product for, and you only get 1 pouch for that price. With Coleman’s you get 3 for the price of 1.

I called first dibs on the smallest one which is perfect for keeping my cellphone (for emergencies), lighter, small flashlight, a few candies, whistle, & compass dry. I left the medium-sized pouch for my wife, thinking she might need a bigger one for her other stuff (bordering on calling it a kikay kit, but not really) but not too large to be too cumbersome. The biggest one I’ve reserved to be used for maps (if necessary) or a couple of my 4-wheeling magazines (very necessary).

The pouches are made of strong vinyl so I would guess (and hope) it won’t get ripped and punctured easily. There’s also a built-in loophole and nylon cord for securing the pouch. I find the included nylon cord to be too short to be used around your neck. So what I did was use some fake carabiners (yeah, not those real ones mountain climbers use, so sue me) and a common lanyard to secure the pouch to my Deuter beltbag or around my neck, whichever becomes necessary.

Bottom line is this is an inexpensive product, and a necessary one if you love playing outdoors in the rain.
